Gatekeepers beware I really don't care.
I've always had a very casual interest in fashion. Mostly streetwear, and sneakers for awhile but from an aesthetic perspective. The info aspect of it didn't really matter to me for awhile. To some extent it still doesn't. My first exposure to designer anything was the bags my cousin brought home from NYC.
I believe it was an LV duffle bag. LV belts are beautiful but I don't really have much interest in that brand otherwise. Gucci's got plenty of good pieces but they get way too much hype. Streetwear brands at ZUMIEZ are objectively better than SUPREME. I will die on that hill.
I learned a little bit about Ann Demeulemeester from watching Fashion Archive on YouTube. Her use of black, and a sort of refined goth aesthetic makes me happy. I've always been into alternative music, and so on. So, I immediately got sucked into that. I can't afford most of the clothing from her company yet though. Very unfortunate for me but oh well.
Being into alternative music, I obviously was going to end up liking Vivienne Westwood too. Even though she doesn't really want to be associated with that anymore. She burnt millions worth of Sex Pistols items instead of having an auction for charity. What a waste there.
If I do blog about fashion beyond this. It probably won't be some grand analysis or anything like that. The posts will mostly be me saying what I like about an item or brand. Most of my creative time will be spent writing short stories, and thinking of T shirt ideas.
